Shea Butter
Extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree, Shea Butter is Non-comedeogenic & super moisturizing. Apart from being used in chocolate (Yummy!), it has been used for thousands of years by African women and healers as an almost magical healing balm for a number of skin conditions. We use Shea Butter from West Africa.
Light & delicate yet it packs a powerful moisturizing punch.
This simple whipped body butter doesn't need lots of fillers and fancy ingredients to make it spectacular. We take 100% Natural West African Shea Butter and whip it up with a hand mixer until it's light and airy. We know its ready when it's creamy, silky and melts right into your skin.
Our whipped butters are lighter than our body massage/balm bars for when you want a lighter feel but still need great staying power. Great on rough elbows, knees and feet. A little goes a long way!

with base notes of a sweet and warm musk with floral top notes of Jasmine and Lilac
No Preservatives
Our butters are made without water and therefore need no preservatives. Just be sure to only apply with small spoon or clean hands (anything on your hands gets transferred to the jar) and do not get any water or moisture into the jar. (Water encourages the growth of bacteria) We typically don't stock these, but make them individually when they are ordered, so you know your product is as fresh as it can get! Since we don't use chemical preservatives we recommend using the butter within 2 months of opening.

How to use this Product
This is a natural, preservative free product. Use clean, dry hands (A small spoon or stick is even better) and apply butter to skin. Massage over body and skin, especially after bathing when your pores are open. It may feel slightly greasy at first but then spreads and your skin absorbs it. Use as often as needed. Keep the lid on tightly when not in use. For best results, keep your butter in a cool, dark place. Heat may cause the oils in this product to melt, so keep away from heat sources including radiators and sunlight.
Summer Shipping Risk
Shea butter has a low melting point (This is why is melts so beautifully on your skin!) If shipped during warm weather, the product may melt. If your product does melt, you can harden it back up by placing it in a cool place. The Shea butter will still be as great for your skin as before, but melting will change the whipped consistency and volume of the butter. We do not add chemical stabilizers like commercial companies, so this is always a risk. We pack as carefully as possible, but things do happen.
